Student Showcase: Szn 5

For Season 5, we’re playing with “The F Word”… no, not that one (or maybe… ;)). And not just one F word either– many! From Flirty to Freaky, Fun to Femme, Fierce to Fantasy. Some routines will be bold. Some will be playful. Some will be sultry, empowering, emotional, or a little unexpected. Together, we’ll explore the many sides of confidence, connection, and self-expression—one F Word at a time. Whether you’re stepping on stage for the First time, or never miss a Showcase… give a F and join in for one of the most memorable events of the year!

This year’s performance will take place once again at CCPA (Canadian College of Performing Arts)! With tiered seating, a concession, lots of backstage space, and more, we’re so excited to be back at this intimate blackbox venue! Open to individuals 19+ of all levels: Beginner to Advanced, join in the opportunity to perform in three shows on November 6th & 7th, 2026.

So How Do We Join?

Step 1: REVIEW

All song selections are listed below. Review their rehearsal dates on the calendar to ensure you can be in attendance for your dance’s rehearsals. Each dance has only THREE rehearsals. Since there are only a few rehearsals, ANY absences will lead to a dancer’s dismissal – no exceptions, and no refunds. So please only register for dances you can be in attendance for.

Step 2: APPLY

Apply to be apart of the showcase! When registering, you will see the list of dances that you can request to be apart of. Please note: requests are not guarantees! If you don’t have a preference, you can leave this blank and Dez will send you dances she thinks would be a good fit for you! The more information you put in your application form, the better. For example, “I will be away on these dates so I can’t be in Candy Shop.”

Step 3: AWAIT INVITATION

Dez will review all registrations. Wait for an invitation email with an offering for which dances she thinks would be a good fit for you and your level, space pending. Dancers can sign up for any 1-4 dances offered to them from this email. *REMEMBER: We want you to shine on stage, not feel like you are fighting for your life. Class time is an excellent place to push yourself – the stage is not. Worry not about the labels of the levels and focus more on your own dance journey and growth. * See rubric below for placement details.

Step 4: ACCEPT INVITE BY MAKING PAYMENT

Once you have received your invitation email from Dez, you may proceed to the payment gateway to finalize your spot in your preferred 1-4 dances of what Dez has offered you. Be sure to do this sooner than later. Your invitation email doesn’t confirm your spot in the dance, your payment does. And it is first come, first serve. Payment plans available!

Step 5: CONFIRMATION

You will receive a final confirmation once payment has been received. VOILA! You’re in!
